Returns & Refunds

Returns:  All items are returnable within 7 days of receipt of the product.  All merchandise returns must be authorized prior to shipment.  No shipments will be accepted without a Return Authorization number written clearly on the package. The authorized return of non-defective merchandise will incur a 20% restocking fee.  Items must be returned undamaged and in original packaging to receive refund. Returned items that have been used or damaged by customer will not be refunded.  Clothing items must have the original manufacturer tags still attached to receive refund. The original packing slip and a copy of your invoice must be included in the return package. Returns shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS) or with a value of over $100.00 should be insured. The Purple Shop cannot be held liable for return merchandise that does not reach the Returns Department.

 

Refunds:  Refunds will be credited to the original credit card or PayPal account after return items have been received by The Purple Shop-Returns Department.  Shipping and handling fees are not refundable (except in cases of manufacturer defects).  Exchanges and store credits are not offered.

Manufacturer Defects: Any item received broken, damaged, or defective (within the manufacturer packaging) may be returned for immediate refund of all charges. No restocking fee will be charged.

Return Authorization Procedure: If you need to return an item for any reason, send e-mail to thepurpleshop@comcast.net or call 505-292-5337 for return approval, authorization number, and shipping instructions. Be sure to include the following information in your e-mail:

  1. Your name and phone number
  2. Order number from your receipt
  3. What item(s) you wish to return
  4. Why you wish to return the item (be specific)

The Purple Shop is a woman-owned small business with a mission to bring a touch of purple into the lives of everyone. Our founder has had a lifetime passion for the color purple that is so intense it has been described with words like obsession, addiction, mania, fetish, and downright crazy! Being a purple fanatic her entire life, she constantly comes across others with the same passion for the color. It seems that "purple lovers" are magnets for other "purple lovers"! After many years of devoting her energies to helping others achieve their business goals, she decided to follow her own dreams and invest in a career path that is fueled by her passion and that of all the other wonderful "purple people" in the world.

Our ultimate goal is to make The Purple Shop a one-stop-outlet for any purple item, product, or idea you could possibly want. We are constantly looking to expand our categories and inventory, so be sure to check in often. Order Processing

All orders must be prepaid via credit card or PayPal. No CODs. Once your payment is verified, the order will be processed, and you will receive an e-mail confirmation of the order. When the order is shipped, you will also receive another e-mail with carrier tracking information and expected arrival date. If an item is out of stock or backordered, we will contact you immediately via e-mail with the status. Your credit card will only be charged for items shipped. If you must pay by check, the order will be held until the check clears the bank. A fee of $35.00 will be charged for any returned check.

Shipping Policy & Procedures

Most items in our catalog are shipped to you directly from the manufacturer(s) or distribution warehouse(s). If your order has more than one item, you may receive multiple packages arriving on different days. Please allow 3 business days for order processing, plus 3-7 business days for standard transit. Most items are shipped via UPS and require an accurate street address for delivery (No PO Box addresses). If you do not receive your order (or status correspondence) within 12 days, please contact us so that we may initiate the tracking process. Orders shipped outside the Continental US or to US Military addresses (APOs) will be sent via air mail and will incur additional shipping charges. Allow 2 weeks for shipments outside the Continental US, and 4 weeks for shipments to military addresses.

Refused Shipments and 3rd Attempts: Any order refused or deemed to be undeliverable after three attempts by the freight carrier, will be cancelled and refunded. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded and the order will incur a 20% restocking fee. Such customers still wanting their order fulfilled will need to place a new order, including payment.

Damaged Shipments: Items damaged in shipment are the responsibility of the freight carrier, and claims should be filed accordingly. Any missing or damaged cartons must be noted by the recipient, on the freight bill. If you notice concealed damage after the driver has left, you should keep all the packing and call the freight carrier to arrange to file a claim. The Purple Shop is not responsible for damage caused by the freight carrier.
